Unified view is live⚡️
This one has been on the wishlist for a long time.
Faraday's Unified view for multiple accounts is now live!
One single inbox across all the Gmail, Google Workspace, and Outlook accounts you have linked — organized by Faraday's intelligence, not dumped into a chronological mess.
We did not ship this the moment it looked demoable. Multi-account email is easy to announce and hard to get right: reply identity, sync reliability, search across accounts, settings that stay coherent, and an inbox that still feels calm when two or three providers are pouring mail in at once. We waited until it worked the way it should.
Why this took longer than a toggle
Unified inboxes fail in boring, painful ways. You reply from the wrong address. An account silently falls behind. Search only hits half your world. A setting that should apply everywhere applies to one mailbox and leaves you debugging your own day.
So we spent the time on the unglamorous layer: making sure accounts stay in sync, that Faraday's classification and organization still hold when mail arrives from multiple providers, and that switching Unified view on or off is a clean, intentional change — not a half-broken merge. Much awaited. Deliberately paced. Now ready.
What Unified view actually does
Turn it on — in the browser or the native Mac app — and Faraday brings your signed-in linked accounts into a single view. You stop hopping between account switchers just to check whether something important landed on the other address.
Work and personal can live side by side without you maintaining two mental models of “where did that email go?” Faraday still classifies and organizes — the point was never one giant unsorted pile. It was one place to see everything that matters, across accounts.
Who this is for
Founders and operators running company + personal + sometimes a side-project inbox.
Anyone on Gmail and Outlook at once — the classic “two apps, one brain” tax.
People who already linked multiple accounts in Faraday and have been waiting for the merge.
If you only use one account, nothing changes. Unified view matters when you have more than one signed in.
How to turn it on
1. Link the accounts you want included (and sign in to any that are currently signed out).
2. Open Options.
3. Enable Unified view.
4. Confirm — the app refreshes into the combined view.
You need at least two signed-in accounts for the toggle to unlock. If some linked accounts are signed out, sign them in to include them too. You can turn Unified view off later the same way if you prefer per-account focus.
What stays true
Unified view does not replace Faraday's core promise. It extends it.
You still get promptless organization, strong search, and an inbox built to reduce cognitive load — now across the accounts you actually live in. For the broader multi-inbox problem (and why switching tabs was never a real solution), see our guide on managing multiple email accounts.
